We report the results of soft X-ray (ROSAT) and radio (ATCA) observations of the globular cluster Terzan 2 which is possibly associated with a hard X-ray source (>40keV) discovered by the SIGMA/GRANAT coded mask telescope. The ROSAT HRI observation (0.1-2.4keV) shows the existence of only one source positionally coincident with the center of Terzan 2. This source is compatible in position and flux with the previously known X-ray burster XB 1724-308. No other soft X-ray source is detected within 3.5' from the cluster center and within the error box of the SIGMA source. It is therefore very likely that the X-ray burster was responsible for the time variable high energy emission observed with SIGMA in 1990-1993. Two possible radio sources are marginally detected near the cluster center.
