Predicted and estimated primordial abundances of light elements are compared and the significance of the comparison results for the standard Big Bang nucleosynthesis model is discussed. Methods of obtaining estimates of the true abundances of Li-7, He-3, D, and He-4 are reviewed, emphasizing the difficulties encountered in getting the estimate for He-4 to agree with theoretical prediction. Possible consequences of inability to resolve the disagreement are considered.
