The radiation pressure on the scattering layer of a plasma in the strong magnetic field of degenerate stars is considered. The radiative force is calculated for a uniform magnetic field and a comparison is made between the radiative pressure in the continuum and in cyclotron lines. Criteria are established for the significant increase in the radiative force associated with the resonance cyclotron interaction of the radiation with the plasma. The effect of light pressure on plasma stability for isolated magnetic white dwarfs and gamma-burst sources on neutron stars is discussed.
