On the basis of the observational data for the available sample of Seyfert galaxies of types 1 and 2 and of QSOs the possibility is analysed of a sharp transition between Sy 1 (and QSOs) and Sy 2. The calculated value of mechanical luminosity for Sy 1 and QSOs is ≡1041 - 1044erg s-1, i.e. of the same order of magnitude as the Hβ line luminosity. This points to the possibility of acceleration of gas clouds by radiation pressure. For the sample of Sy 1 and QSOs a universal connection between the observed velocity determined from "broad lines" and the size of the zone responsible for their emission is found: V3/2R = ɛ. From the observational data the value of the dissipation coefficient ɛ is obtained: lg ɛ = 8.24±0.06.
