The Planck Cosmic Bacground Mission, which is planned to be launched in February 2007 will map the entire sky at frequencies 30-860 GHz, with a sensitivity depending on direction and frequency. Some X-ray binary systems and symbiotic stars may show up as foreground galactic point sources. Due to many detectors in the focal plane and the scanning strategy, light curves for a few variable sources can be constructed for periods up to 20 days. Planck observations may be coordinated with X-ray and ground based observations.
