A deep CCD frame taken in the outskirts of the giant D galaxy NGC 4874 was used to successfully detect the globular cluster population at the center of the Coma Cluster of galaxies. The present analysis, which includes both photometry and image classification, reaches a limiting magnitude of B = 26.25 on stellar images with FWHM of about 0.6 arcsec. In the halo of NGC 4874, not only the expected population of globular clusters was identified, but also an unexpected population of dwarf galaxies. The globular clusters show a radial distribution flatter than that of the background galaxy light, indicating that the globulars may be more closely associated with the Coma Cluster potential well than with NGC 4874. In the small region studied, the specific frequency of globular clusters is similar to that found in normal elliptical galaxies, but, because the clusters show a flat radial distribution, the specific frequency of globulars for NGC 4874 as a whole is likely to be much higher.
