Systematic differences between "classical" radial velocities from various observatories exist, also depending on the position on sky and this in such a manner that they may contaminate all basic galactic parameters which rely on radial velocities of fundamental stars. However, the amplitudes are at most a few km s-1. Therefore parameters which represent averages over several instrumental systems, could hardly be more erroneous than 1 km s-1 for these reasons.
