We do not usually see much colour in the night sky but colour is there,
especially in the brighter stars and it can be photographed with very
simple techniques and equipment. This article covers in more detail the
technique outline by David Malin in his talk to the BAA Exhibition
Meeting in London, 1987 May 16.
