Investigations of the polar upper atmosphere and the study of ionospheric/magnetospheric processes using rockets, balloons, and satellites, together with ground-based techniques are outlined. Magnetospheric and ionospheric physics; modification experiments in the polar ionosphere; and processes and dynamics of the neutral atmosphere at high latitudes are studied. The aims, instrumentation, payload, and organization of rocket programs are listed.
