katyagerogieva@msn.com The regional network of the countries in the Balkan Black sea Caspian sea region for space weather studies was created in June 2005 with the goal to coordinate the participation of the countries in the program of the International Heliophysical Year and to promote in the future the collaboration between them in basic space sciences. This talk will summarize the activities of the network and will present the research projects which have been proposed.
