Surveys for OH and methanol masers in our Galaxy are well advanced, but the study of the most abundant of masers, water at 22-GHz, is glaringly deficient. A good survey of masers will provide sub arcsec positions of all objects above a well defined sensitivity limit in a well-defined region. We surveyed the special region of the Galactic Centre for water masers in 2007march (c1659)in an efficient manner with a mosaic survey with the ATCA. Follow-up observations 2007oct (c1762) showed considerable variability, as expected. Here we plan a second epoch survey to assess the effects of variability on our completeness.
