Ways to confirm a recent detection of an antineutrino burst which may have been caused by a supernova explosion in the galactic center are considered. The possibilities discussed include detection of cosmic ray air showers with EAS arrays and detection of Cherenkov radiation from positrons produced in the atmosphere by the antineutrinos. The operation and application of a Cherenkov light detector is described. It is noted that failure to confirm the antineutrino burst may indicate that a supernova explosion did not occur.
