During a pilot run for the proposed Coma and Virgo Exploration for Transients (COVET), using the Canada France Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) MegaPrime camera, we discovered two supernova candidates. On UT 2008 Mar 10, the first supernova was found at RA(J2000)=12h29m01.28s and Dec(J2000)=+12d22m18.8s in a galaxy with an SDSS photometric redshift of 0.123. The supernova was r'=20.7 on Mar 10 and r'=22.4 on Mar 5.
