New results from the kinematics of halo objects give added support to a picture of our Galaxy in which the conventional `Shapley' galaxy lies embedded within an extended prolate triaxial configuration highly inclined to the Galactic plane. By relaxing the normal constraint that one of the principal kinematic axes must be aligned with the Galactic rotation axis, we find evidence for two distinct globular cluster populations - one, the aligned component, has the minor axis of the velocity ellipsoid nearly aligned with the rotation axis similar to a group of local RR Lyrae stars, while the second, the inclined component, shows a velocity ellipsoid which is aligned (within large uncertainties) with the {spatial} distribution of the outer satellites. The outer satellites may thus be outlining the dark matter distribution in the Galaxy.
