I present results of spectroscopic analyses of blue stars on and below the horizontal branch in several clusters. From the effective temperatures and surface gravities masses for the stars are derived and compared to predictions of classical evolutionary theories. In addition the first spectroscopic analysis of an sdB in a globular cluster other than NGC 6752 is presented.
