A sample manned Mars mission is examined by comparing mass and estimated differential cost for three alternative propulsion concepts. The alternative propulsion concepts under consideration include storable propellant, high energy chemical propellant, and Space Nuclear Thermal Propulsion. Each of the three alternatives are modeled to determine the propellant delivery cost. Emphasis is placed on the economic aspects of manned Mars missions.
