The authors study effects due to finite size of extended distant object and gravitational field of a foreground galaxy on motion of the object image that is shifted owing to transverse motion of microlensing stars. Taking into account the object size induces qualitative changes of image brightness centre (IBC) trajectory leading to diminishing of the IC shifts and even to changes of their sign. On the other hand, the galactic background field may increase the shifts, especially in neighbourhoods of critical curves of lensing galaxy. For gravitator impact parameters smaller than the source radius, the IBC trajectory has a three-leaf form that is essentially deformed in presence of external shear. Measurements of the trajectory can yield the values of the source size and the shear.
