By use of the ANS ultraviolet fluxes, optical (UBV) and IRAS infrared fluxes, several color indices for a few Markarian galaxies have been investigated. A comparison of these indices with those for normal NGC galaxies has been carried out. Similarities and differences in the indices for the two groups of galaxies have been discussed and possible causes have been indicated.
