The flux of solar neutrino coming to the Earth is shown to be modulated by the magnetic field on its propagation route. This explains the 11-year periodicity in the neutrino flux variation. Quasi-biennial variations of the flux are claimed to have a different origin, i.e. to be due to processes in the solar interior. Various indices used to describe solar magnetic field variations are discussed, as well as some implications of the obtained results.
