In this paper, we investigate the properties of turbulence by a fractal analysis of the Meudon spectroheliograms. In the first phase of study, we considered photospheric faculae as best representatives of photospheric magnetic fields. We selected images at a period of high solar activity (1958), in order to have a significant number of faculae. Preliminary results show that Kolmogrov's turbulence describes the properties of faculae well, at the supergranulation scale. The distribution of photospheric faculae can be due to a random filling process. On the other hand, their fractal dimension does support the twisting and folding properties of helicity predicted in the framework of the α-ω dynamo theory.
