An astronomical method for providing information of short-term earthquake prediction with obervations of the optical astronomcial time and latitude is edited into the "Practical Science and Technology for Disaster Reduction in Chinese Academy of Sciences" by the Center of Disaster Reduction of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in order to widely spread it to society. The study and application of the method is simply introduced in this paper.
