CELESTE is a mid-IR magnetograph comprising a gratng spectrograph fitted with an IR array, coupled to a full-Stokes polarimeter. This instrument records stigmatic slit spectra in the Mg I 12 micron line, which is formed in the mid-photosphere/temperature miminum region. We present temperature minimum magnetic field maps of active regions using observations made at the McMath-Pierce Telescope at Kitt Peak. Results indicate significant field spreading at the Mg I formation height in penumbra. Time-resolved measurements show absolute field strength fluctuations are below 30 G.
