We study the effects of mass-flow and diffusion on the conservation equation for ionic species in the chromosphere-corona transition region. We look at the time-independent equation and iteratively calculate the ionization and abundance of various important elements as a function of altitude. From this we compute the emitted line intensities and radiative losses. This work uses using models of the temperature stratification and atomic data from Fontenla and Judge.
