The WBVR Photoelectric Catalog (Kornilov et al. 1991, Tr. Gos. Astron. Inst. Shternberg., Tom 63) contains magnitudes and colors for some 13,400 stars. Completeness estimates by Kornilov and Sementsov show that the catalog includes more than 95% of all northern-hemisphere stars brighter than V = 7.0. The filter response functions of the WBVR system are very close to the Johnson UBVR system except that the W and R filters are narrower than U and R, respectively, while peaking at the same wavelengths (360 nm, 700 nm). This paper presents a comparison of all WBVR stars in common with a new compilation of homogeneous means in the UBV system (Mermilliod 1994) and the compilation of UBVRI data by Lanz (1986). The data are shown to agree very well except for the ultraviolet color index, where the correlation is double-valued in the 0 +/- 0.2 range.
