The quasi-biennial oscillation, detected 30 years ago in the equatorial stratosphere circulation, is also evidenced in the solar corona index (Cl), the Wolf number (W) and the universal time (UT) deduced from astronomical observations. This analysis points to correlation between solar activity indices and Earth rotation fluctuations which let us assume that solar activity disturbs the Earth rotation; the geomagnetic field and the atmosphere are the interfaces.
