We report on a program of observational astronomy laboratory exercises employing CCDs with small telescopes. The lab exercises are inquiry-based to develop critical thinking skills. We are using a thermoelectrically cooled CompuScope CCD (512 x 768 pixels, 14 bits deep) with an automated filter wheel and CompuScope's Personal Observatory 32-bit image processing software. Sample lab exercises will be presented. We intend to create an image database of observations obtained by undergraduate students which will be available over the Internet.
