Intercosmos-satellite observations of the intensity of the magnetic and electric components of the 0.14-15.0 Khz noise field and plasma density at subauroral latitudes (57-65 deg) are reported. A correlation analysis shows that differences in amplitude variations of the wave field components at frequencies below and above 4.65 kHz can be explained by differences in wave modes in the measured wave field.
