A formula is presented for the relationship between the magnitude of a luminosity peak during a zero phase and the angular radius of a light source (the sun). The satellites of Saturn and Jupiter show a strong opposition effect. This effect is associated with the structure and albedo of the surface of these bodies as well as with the fact that these bodies are situated at a sufficient distance from the sun.
