The parameters of the system Polar AM Herculis, the prototype star of a subgroup of cataclysmic variable binaries containing a white dwarf as primary and a low-mass main sequence star as a secondary, are reexamined. Values are given for the distance, total mass, mass function, component mass ratio, inclination angle, semimajor axis, semiminor axis of the binary system and the T(eff), M(bol), mass radius, and inclination of magnetic dipole of the components.
