Precise Doppler measurement is a powerful technique to detect extrasolar planets. To date more than 300 planets have been detected around various types of stars and the planets show wide a variety in their properties. Here, we briefly summarize the statistical properties of the currently known giant planets around solar-type stars and show our latest results from Doppler planet searches conducted at the Subaru telescope and the Okayama Astrophysical Observatory (OAO): a hot-Jupiter search around metal-rich solar-type stars and a planet search around intermediate-mass evolved stars.
