It is argued that the critical discussion by C. J. Goebel of a paper of Jakobsen, Kon, and Segal explaining the Woody-Richards anomaly by an assumption of nontrivial isotropic angular momentum in the cosmic background radiation (in galactic vicinities or otherwise) lacks logical coherence, specific relevance to the cited paper, and is generally without scientific merit.
