The Bamberg variable HD 5303 is found to be a close binary system with
period 2.79786 ± 0.00002 day. The light curve has a photometric
wave of range 0.057 mag outside eclipse consistent with a dark spot or
spots on the cooler star. The eclipse elements together with the (B-V)
measurements show the system to be of type G0 + K4 IV.
