The electron mass operator, M, is investigated in a near-critical homogenous magnetic field of 4.41 x 10 to the 13th Oe. The real part of M, containing information on the anomalous magnetic moment of the electron, and the imaginary part, associated with emission probability, are calculated in the form of a series expansion in powers of eta (identical with H/H0) for arbitrary values of the principal quantum number n. A general expression for the emission intensity, valid for arbitrary eta and n, and its asymptotic expansions are obtained. Explicit expressions for emission intensity and probability are obtained for eta equal to or greater than 1 and n much greater than 1.
