The Liapunov exponents are shown to provide a qualitative estimate of
the degree of stochasticity for certain stellar-dynamic systems. The
exponents are calculated in the framework of the Henon-Heiles (1964)
model using three different methods. The optimal method is that of
Benettin et al. (1976).
