Solar Magnetic Fields: Methods Of Observation, Solar Telescopes: Calibration

The authors give the preliminary calibration of the Nine-channel Solar Magnetic field Telescope (NSMT) with the methods described in paper I. They choose the optimum position of bandpass of the filter to measure longitudinal magnetic field and determine the calibration coefficients from the observation profile of spectral lines. In order to check the efficiency of the empirical method, the authors make another calibration at the same position based on velocity field of solar rotation. The results of these calibrations are consistent with each other. It indicates they are reliable and accurate.
