Solar Magnetic Fields: Methods Of Observation, Solar Telescopes: Calibration

In order to interpret the observational data of the Nine-channel Solar Magnetic field Telescope (NSMT) correctly, the authors analyze and compare the methods of the empirical and observational calibrations for longitudinal magnetic field. Some experiments are made to test the methods in lines of Fe I 5324.19 Å and Hβ 4861.34 Å with the 35 cm telescope. The results given by the two methods are consistent with each other.
