The structure and expansion law of a shock wave, generated by explosion of pregalactic objects or young galaxies in the early universe, is investigated with specific consideration of the expansion of the ambient medium. First, an asymptotic solution for adiabatic explosions is obtained by numerical integration of the similarity solution. Time-dependent numerical solutions and analytic approximations are presented for the more general case. Then radiative and Compton cooling are included in numerical studies of expanding shocks. Finally, some comments on the structure of intergalactic medium are presented.
