The evolution equations for the amplitudes of resonant modes (2 omega/alpha/ approximately omega/beta/ and omega/gamma/ approximately omega/alpha/ + omega/beta/) are derived. It is shown that there arise nonadiabatic quadratic coupling terms, which are of the same order as the quadratic anharmonic oscillator terms. In this lowest order there is no feedback of the oscillations on the evolution. It is also pointed out that a resonance condition is by no means sufficient to guarantee limiting behavior.
