The variable polarization of three Cepheids (FM Aql, FF Aql, and AW Per) is confirmed using statistical criteria. Intrinsic polarization of Cepheid radiation is assumed to occur as it passes through the stellar shell, which resembles the solar corona in form and distribution of polarization, but is considerably (seven orders of magnitude) brighter. The stellar wind of Cepheids is apparently able to supply enough matter for these shells.
