We investigate the absorption spectra of 40 PAH molecules (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) in solid matrices, in the almost unexplored 14-75μm range. Some accumulations of features appear among the whole sample of laboratory spectra and indicate the most probable positions of interstellar bands. After calculation of the infrared emission provided by a family of PAHs ranging from 3 to 70A size, it comes out that four bands are dominating and could be detected by the future infrared observatory ISO, if the species involved are present at an abundance that we define. Their positions are 16.2, 18.2, 21.2 and 23.1μm.
