Scientific paper

This paper addresses the thermal structure of Titan and Triton. The first part reviews the current knowledge of Titan's atmospheric profile, mostly from the 'engineering' point of view (temperature, density, and the uncertainty associated with these parameters), and in connection with Cassini. The second part, based on the results of the 1989 Voyager flyby, presents the first conclusions of an aeronomical modeling of Triton's thermal structure.
