Nearby Stars, Variable Stars

This Catalogue, the first of this type, gives a list of 491 variable stars (certain or only suspected) nearer than 22 parsecs off the Sun, issued from the Catalogue of nearby stars of Gliese (1969) and from the Supplement to this Catalogue by Gliese and Jarheiss (1979). For each star are given the number in the above mentioned Catalogues, the coordinates for 1950, the identification, the characteristics as a variable (magnitudes maximum and minimum, type of variability) and, in Notes, all the features which appear necessary. A rich bibliography completes the Catalogue which will be very useful to observers and to for theoreticians.
