The neutral-hydrogen structure and kinematics in the vicinity of the W41 complex of H II regions are investigated using data from 21-cm observations made with an angular resolution of 10 arcmin and a velocity resolution of 2 km/s. The latitude of the galactic ridge is found to vary with velocity, distances to the continuum features (G22.8-0.3, G23.1-0.3, G23.4-0.2) are inferred, and data are given for several H I features, the supernova remnant, and Sharpless 58. It is suggested that G23.1-0.3 is composed of nonthermal radiation from a supernova remnant at a distance of at least 4.6 kpc and a weaker source which may be an extension of the thermal source G22.8-0.3. The most prominent H I feature, centered on G23.4-0.2, is interpreted as an end-on view of an elongated object located inside the Scutum arm and close to the inner Lindblad resonance of the Galaxy.
