The spectrum of Cyg X-1 has been calculated under the assumption that the radiation originates in a disk around a 11 solar-mass black-hole. Supersonic turbulence prevails in the outer parts of the disk and electron-electron bremsstrahlung appears to be responsible for the maintenance of the temperature at a level less than 10 to the 10th K near the inner edge of the disk. The theoretical spectrum gives the best fit with the observations when the Reynolds number is about 1200.
