It is demonstrated that the simple calculation of the cluster-cluster correlation function performed by Kaiser (1984) and others suffers from a systematic error out to distances of order 15 to 20/h Mpc. This causes the model predictions to be overestimates of the actual enhancement of cluster-cluster over galaxy-galaxy correlations. Rigorous calculations of peak-peak correlations are necessary if the biasing model is to be evaluated because at distances of 15 to 20/h Mpc the galaxy correlations possess very low amplitude, and it is only at such distances that the simple calculation of Kaiser can predict enhancements without being affected by the effects of the systematic error.
