The internal structure of the Centaurus cluster of galaxies is described, and the spatial and velocity distributions of the different galaxy types within the cluster are discussed. Groups of galaxies are identified in the outer parts of the cluster. The most prominent, the 'Western Branch', is a flattened structure that extends westwards and slightly northwards of the cluster systems. The notable NGC 4930 group, which lies northwards of the cluster center, is a loose aggregate consisting almost entirely of spiral galaxies. The morphology-density relationship within the cluster is striking, with early-type galaxies dominating the cluster core.
