A Fabry-Perot interferometer has been used to measure velocity structure in the forbidden O III line at 5007 A in the envelope of NGC 6720. An electronographic image converter has been used to obtain monochromatic exposures in emission lines covering a wide range of ionization potential. These data are shown to imply that the envelope is shell-like in form and not toroidal, as previously suggested.
