Stellar winds of OB stars in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) were studied using low resolution IUE spectra. The UV resonance lines in over 70 stars are examined for the effects of mass-loss. Well developed P Cygni doublets, observed in 21 stars, are fitted using model profiles, allowing for the IUE low resolution instrumental profile. Characteristics of mass-loss in these stars are derived, including edge velocities and stellar wind densities. Results are compared with the observed properties of winds in Galactic stars of similar spectral type and luminosity. The terminal velocities and wind column densities are usually a factor less than or = 2 lower in the SMC stars; however the products of mass-loss rate and ionization fraction do not differ substantially from those observed in corresponding Galactic O stars. Conclusions about the mass-loss rates are severely limited by uncertainties in the ion fractions and stellar abundances.
