A part of this study consists in estimating the prominence mass, using
EIT and LASCO-C2 data. The method, applied on the eruptive event on 8th
of January 2002, is based on the ratio of the eruptive prominence mass
to the mass of the quiescent corona. The other purpose of this study is
to determine the phase velocity for the EIT wave.
