Radial-velocity studies for two dwarf novae, X Leo and SS Aur, are presented. The observations reveal the orbital period of X Leo to be 0.1644 + or - 0.0001 days and make it possible to refine Kraft and Luyten's (1965) original orbital-period estimate for SS Aur. In the case of SS Aur, the possibility of any cycle-count ambiguity is eliminated, and the orbital period is found to be 0.1828 + or - 0.0001 days. In addition to the period determinations, the radial-velocity amplitudes of the white dwarfs, as indicated from variations of the H-alpha emission lines, are found to be Kem = 105 + or - 10 km/s for X Leo and Kem = 70 + or - 10 km/s for SS Aur. The techniques employed in determining the orbital periods and in estimating the radial-velocity amplitudes are discussed.
